Oakes. 69, who died at his home the preceding Monday morning. Rev. J. W. Hubbard, Russell Springs, and Rev. Overton South, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. He had been in failing health for some time. He spent his entire life in the Sulphur Well community and had been a faithful member of Pink Ridge church for the past 51 years. Surviving are one brother, J. D. Oakes, Sulphur Well; two nieces, Mrs. Dora Jeffries, Newt, Ky., and Mrs. Lena Thomas, Louisville; and two nephews, Reid Oakes, Sulphur Well, and John L.
