He was 69 years, three months and 10 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Louisville. In the past Mr. Pickett was a Sunday school teacher in Wichita, Kansas. He was affiliated with the Boy Scout program here in Green County was a former Boy Scout leader in He united in marriage to Miss Mary Lee Kendall, who resides in Louisville. To this union were born one son and one daughter: John Pickett of Mt. Washington and Brenda Taylor of Nicholasville. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law ;and son-in-law: Joan Pickett and Mike Taylor; three sisters and four brothers: Julia Curd of California, Margaret O'Banion of Campbellsville, William Pickett of Greensburg, Charles Pic! kett of Vine Grove, Cecilia McConnell of Paris, Kentucky, Eugene Pickett of Magnolia, and Brooks Pickett of Louisville; five grandchildren: Charity Hatfield of Nicholasville, Shawn Pickett of Mt. Washington, Ashley Hendrickson of Pineville, Bronson Taylor of Lawrenceburg, and Lucas Taylor of Lawrenceburg; two great-grandchildren: Hannah Hatfield of Nicholasville and Robert Hatfield III of Nicholasville; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one grandson: Gabriel Adam Pickett on August 4, 1993. The funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 21, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dale Curry officiated. Pallbearers were Shawn Pickett, William Pierce, Arvil Meyers, Bob Hatfield, James Pickett and Buddy Pickett. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the National Parkinson's Foundation. These can be made at the funeral home. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
