Paxton, son of the late Mr. Elliot Paxton and Mrs. Josie Hudson Paxton, was born May 22, 1913, in Green County and departed this life Thursday, April 30, 1998, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 84 years, 11 months and eight days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at the time of his death. Mr. Paxton was a farmer and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Rod Lowe Post No. 124 of the American Legion. He united in marriage to Miss Christine Jones November 24, 1966, who survives. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters: Druard Paxton, Calvin Paxton, Christine Paxton and Margie Whitlock, all of Greensburg, and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral for Mr. Cecil A. Paxton was conducted Saturday, May 2, at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Morris officiated. Military ! rites were conducted by Taylor County Chapter #70 of D.A.V. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Boyce Hudson, Oz Coffey, Scott Humphrey, Debbie Gumm, Willard Mitchell, David L. Givens, Betty Lowe, Ruth Moore,; Rod Moore, Billy Joe Lowe and Diane Hall. Obituaries of Green Co.
