Smith on December 5, 1953, in Greensburg. He departed this life October 10, 1999, at his home in Louisville. He professed faith in Christ at 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg at an early age. His humble heart touched everyone. A stranger he never met, his creativity truly a gift from God. Freddie joined the military in 1976 where he served his country well. Preceding him in death were his mother, Roise Lee Williams, and his grandfather, Eugene Groves. Survivors include one daughter, Christy Smith; one granddaughter, Ahlyia Carvy, and a very special friend, Mary Ruth Smith; three sisters: Car Shipp, Louisville, Julia Herd, Oklahoma, and Parlene Foster, Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers: Kim A. Smith, Atlanta, Georgia, James Kenneth Smith, California, and Ralph C. Smith, Florida; grandmother, Mrs. Winnefred Groves, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 14, at the Wa! rren F. Toler Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Top Cemetery. Rev. Mike A officiated over the service. Pallbearers were Earl Barnett, Billy Jean Mitchell, Donnie Williams, Albert Ray, Jr, Michael Woods, Benny Groves and Ronnie Mitchell. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
