Wednesday, March 3, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Wilcoxson, in Greensburg, at the age of 82 years. The daughter of the late Granville H. Vaughn and Mrs. Lottie Jones Vaughn, she was born in Green County, July 25, 1871. She professed faith in Christ early in life and united with the Beech Grove Methodist Church and later united with the Greensburg Methodist Church. She was united in marriage to Mr. Joe A. Mitchell, June 1, 1892. He preceded her in death August 4, 1939. To this union one son and three daughters were born. She is survived by Selby Mitchell, Taylor County, Mrs. Chess Whitlock and Mrs. Mary Wilcoxson, Greensburg; also one sister, Mrs. J. B. Mitchell, Greensburg; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. in the Greensburg Methodist Church. Rev. E. S. Denton was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. C. D. Owen and Rev. Crenshaw. Burial was in Hogard! s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Mitchell, Walter Mitchell, Clay Mitchell, Vaughn Coleman, Billy Shuffett, and Charles Shuffett. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Skaggs, Sam Moore, Russell Phillips, Ausbon Pierce, James D. Mitchell, Ray Coleman, and B. G. Branstetter. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
