Despain, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away January 15, 2008. He was born August 12, 1936 in Greensburg, KY to Ivy Lee and Ida Pearl Clark Despain.He worked as a carpenter for 40 years, retiring in 1989. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, 5377 E. Washington St., with services Friday, at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Donna S. Despain; daughter, Halla Jones; sons, Carl (Carrie) and Jimmy (Edythe) Despain; brother, McArthur Despain; sisters, Maxine Warren, Joyce Perkins, Dorothy Dockery, Stacey House; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ida Ray Despain and brothers, Carl Eugene and J.M Despain, sisters, Beulah Frisby and Altee Lee Crawley.
