Daughter of the late William Charlie Smith and Hettie Lee Richard Smith, she was born on June 11, 1916, in Green County, Ky. She was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was married to Lonnie Landon Bagby on Jan. 30, 1935. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1957. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Trevor and Wendell Sullivan of Greensburg; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Olen and Selena Bagby of Campbellsville and Garry Bagby of Greensburg; two daughters-in-law, Florene Bagby and Joyce Bagby, both of Green County; a brother, Vernon Russell Smith of Indiana; two half-sisters, Lilly Mae Kyle and Lou Alice Pennycuff, both of Albany, Ky.; an aunt, Ada Parson of Columbia, Ky.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, William Lee Bagby in November! 1935, Robert Landon Bagby on July 29, 1999, and Russell Bagby on Feb. 18, 2005; four brothers, James Smith, William Smith, Richard A. Smith and Samuel Smith; and four half-sisters, Allene Moss, Sarah Wright, Emma Hamlett and Nancy Coomer. Funeral was Monday, Jan. 28 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bros. Wilburn Bonta, Larry Wisdom and Landon Hadley officiated. Burial was in Bagby Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible fund or the Green Hill Manor Relay for Life team and can be made at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Rex Cook, Mike Tucker, Tony Bagby, Mark Blakeman, Brandon Bradshaw, Billy Smith and Richard "Bubba" Smith. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Golden Living Center - Green Hill.
