Mr. Rucker, a native of Green County, lived at Loretto and was a retired worker of the old Blair Distilling Company, St. Francis. He was a son of the late Joseph and Nancy Hayes Rucker. His wife, Helen Elizabeth Mattingly Rucker, preceded him in death on June 18, 1966. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Mae Rowe, Pleasant Ridge Park, and Mrs. Rubalene Harrell, Bardstown; and two sons, Algeon Thomas Rucker, Jr., Route 1, Loretto and Charles Wayne Rucker, Route 2, Loretto. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 13, at St. Francis of Assisi Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Marvin C. Rolfes was in charge of the services. Pallbearers were Tommy Peake, Jerry Peake, Jackie Peake, Jimmy Miles, George Mattingly and Pike Derringer.
