Friday, April 30, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana after an illness of three years. Born in Adair County in 1901, Mr. Pickett was formerly from Green County. His family moved to New Albany when he was six years old. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary [Rodgers] Pickett, New Albany; three daughters. Mr. Mildred Bishop, English, Indiana; Mrs. Dorothy England, Indianapolis, Indiana and Mrs. Frances Cox, New Albany; 4 sons, Charles B. Pickett, Cincinnati, Ohio, Dillard Noel Jr. and Philip Pickett all of New Albany; and eight grand-children. He was a member of the Picketts Chapel Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at the Picketts Chapel Methodist Church at 2:00 pm Sat 1 May with Rev. Lester Carter in charge. Burial was in the Tarter's Chapel Cem. In Adair Co.
