Gupton Perkins, the only daughter of Daniel and Mary Wood [Philpott] Gupton, was born October 22, 1870, departed this life March 31, 1944, age 73 years, 5 months and 9 days. She was married to Geo. R. Perkins, Oct. 30, 1892. To this union were born three children, namely: Leonard, Lester and Otto, all of which survive; also one brother, Harry Gupton of Greensburg, Ky., one grandson, James R. Perkins who is with the armed forces, located in Williamsburg, Va. She has a host of cousins, nephews and nieces that survive. Her husband preceded her in death 17 years ago. Mrs. Perkins was a member of the Church of Christ of which she was a loyal member until death. She was a good mother, fine neighbor and friend to all.
