Dr. Ping had been suffering with high blood pressure for several months and had undergone treatment a few months before his death in a Louisville Hospital, where he was cautioned by a Louisville specialist to retire from the practice of medicine until he regained his health. Dr. Ping was a slave to his profession and would not turn his fellow man down when he came to him with an ailment. This loyalty and love for his profession hastened his death. He was stricken at the supper table on Tuesday night with a severe pain in his eye and was assisted to his bed by Mrs. Ping, where he died a few hours later with a stroke of paralysis. Dr. Ping, a native of Pulaski County, and a graduate of medicine from a St. Louis University, came to Green County and located in 1922, where he built up a lucrative and successful practice. He was married in ! 1927 to Miss Ann Mary Gumm and in addition to his widow is survived by his mother, Mrs. Balzoria Ping, three sisters. Mrs. Bill Wilson, and Mrs. Dewey Waddle, of Somerset, and Mrs. Jack Vaught, of Stearns. Two brothers, Mr. Clyde Ping, of Somerset, and Eugene Ping, a U. S. Soldier, stationed in Oklahoma. Funeral services will be conducted Friday (today), at the Summersville Baptist Church at 1o'clock a. m. Burial will be in the Somerset Cemetery. Dr. Ping was a member and Master of William B. Allen Lodge of Free Masons at Summersville and a member of the Greensburg Post of the American Legion. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
