Besides his wife and children he leaves one brother, Tom Patterson, one sister, Mrs. Florence Neagle, Newt, seven grandchildren and a host of relatives am friends. Early in life he was converted and joined Trammel Creek Baptist Church of which he was a member at the time of his death, He loved his church and was faithful in attendance as long as his health permitted. He was a man who loved people and was always happy when he could help some one. His illness was of long duration. He was always kind and patient, and had a great desire to get well and be with his family and friends, but would always say that he was ready! to go and point back to a time and place when a Young boy, that Christ came into his heart and life and gave him a great experience which made him ready for this hour. He is now on the other side with the many friends and loved ones, who welcomed him into his eternal home. He was a good husband, a good father, and a good friend, and how we shall miss him, but on the shores of the eternal city he now watches and waits for the loved ones he left behind. We shall know him and shall see him again. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 10:30 a. m. at the Baptist church by Rev. T. S. Curry, assisted by Rev. Manley Towles, Rev. V.A. Jones and ......
