She was married in 1884 to John W. Curry who preceded her in death four years ago. To this union 9 children were born, 5 of whom survive, namely Henry Curry of Exie, Ed of Grab, Lee of Newt, Mrs. Lillie Davis of Grab and Mrs. Josie Pierce of Newt. Birdie and Addie died in infancy. Hunter passed away in 1916 and Simon in May 1944. She professed faith in Christ in her girlhood days and lived a Christian life until the end. "Aunt Sissie" as she was known was a devoted wife and mother and a good neighbor, and her kind and quiet disposition was admired by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, but we submit to Gods will, realizing that she is at rest with many loved ones gone before and that we shall see her again in the sweet by and by. Besides her children she is survived by one half brother, Mr. Tom Perkins of Buffalo! , Ky., two half sisters, Mrs. Phoebe Ann Sanders of Louisville and Mrs. Sarah Belle Constant of Mt. Sherman, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grand-children and many friends who will mourn her going. Funeral services were conducted at the Ennis Cemetery near Pierce by Rev. H. A. Curry.
