C. Parker, 60, son of the late Mr. James Parker and Mrs. Lula Dobson Parker, was born April 21, 1912 in Green County and departed this life at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 28, 1972 at the Methodist Hospital in Louisville. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene at Summersville. He united in marriage to Miss Essie McCubbin on September 27,1932, who survives. To this union were born one daughter and two sons: Mrs. Brenda Price, Summersville; Larry Parker, Summersville and Wilbert Parker, Greensburg. Mr. Parker is also survived by one brother: Russell Parker, Louisville; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 1972 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral , Home with burial in the Bennett Cemetery. Revs. A. A. Farris, Lowell Bell and Shiley Beard officiated. Active pallbearers were Charles Noe, Joseph Altman, Junior Gumm, Foster Milby, El! more Williams, and Leon Lewis. Honorary pallbearers were Henry Walton Mays, Adrian Lobb, E. J. Milby, Roy Scott, Brady McCubbin, Delker Thompson, Harold Lobb, Elma Caven, Finis Dobson, arid Henry Leslie Foster.
