He was born February 11, 1925 in Green County, the son of Mrs. Ida Lile and the late Wayne Lile. In addition to his mother, his survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Paxton Lile; a daughter, Mrs. Kay Squires, Greensburg; a grandson, Billy Mike Squires, Greensburg; a brother, Bill Lile, Greensburg; four sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Kessler and Mrs. Edith Squires of Greensburg, Mrs. Clydene Bagby, Cambridge, Ohio and Mrs. Ann Thomas, Elizabethtown, Ky. He had been employed as a mechanic at Fort Knox and was the owner and operator of a farm in the Bethlehem Community. He was a Veteran of World War II. Lile was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church where he had served as church treasurer for the past 17 years. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, June 26, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Reverends Gary Ervin, Rick Clark, and Land! on Hadley officiating. Pallbearers were Terry Lile, Tim Thomas, Ed Bell, J.D. Paxton, Terry Paxton, and Gary Burris. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery with Military Rites.
