I have some information on the Texas Hamiltons if you would be interested I am happy to share. I wrote the Texas Archives a couple of years ago and they sent me an article on Francis M. Hamilton from a Dallas "early family" book that was most interesting. I also have some Civil War information on him that you may already have. I also have a very "poor" copy of a photograph of John Lafayette Hamilton which at least gives a good idea of his physical characteristics. Do you have any photos?
