He was plowing on the farm of Newman Pierce, near Exie, when the accident occurred around 9:00 a. m. The son of the late Johnie B. Davis and Mrs. Dora Ennis Davis, he was born in Green County March 30, 1899. He professed faith in Christ at at early age in life. He was united in marriage to Miss Viola Kessler August 18, 1918. To, this union one daughter, Mrs. Donald R. Cockrum, Louisville, was born. Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Altha Judd, Mrs. Etna Bishop, Luther, Tom, and Edgar Davis, all of Green County; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Russell. Funeral services were conducted Sunday 2:00 p. m. at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist church by Rev. Tom Peppers. Burial was in the church cemetery.
