She was born July 15, 1928, to the late Willie and Katie Ellen Thornton. She left behind a loving family, Edwin (Pat) Thompson of Radcliff, Donnie Thompson of Campbellsville, Udell Thompson of Dekalb, Illinois, Faye Thompson of Columbia, James Willie Thompson of Radcliff, Katie (Jerry) Embry of North Aurora, Illinois, Jimmy Thompson of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Hortense Morrison of Louisville; her husband, Ainsley Drummond of Vine Grove; a very loving, dearest friend, Dorothy Mason; 25 grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, March 20, at the Jacobs Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Green County Memory Gardens. The Master of Ceremonies was Rev. Walter Johnson with the eulogy by Rey. Burt Parker. The Warren F. Toler Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Active pallbearers were James Griffin, Paul Allen Mitchell, Billy G! ene Mitchell, James Thornton, John T. Thompson and Dwayne Thornton.
