He was the son of William A. and Ellen M. Ford. He was married to Eliza J. Chelf Sept. 6, 1888. To this union was born 10 children, 2 having preceded him in death. Those surviving are, W. C. Ford of Illinois, Anna Johnson of Lakeland, Ky., Rev. J. W. Ford of Coakley, Ky., Sallie A. Kirtley of Campbellsville, Ky., John Frank Ford of Danville, Ky., Lee E. Ford of Coakley, Ky., Leona Thornton of Summersville, Ky., Christine Robinson of Campbellsville, Ky., 43 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren survive him. He professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Jacob Grove Baptist Church of Summersville, Ky. where he remained a faithful member until death. He was a regular attendant at church and a liberal supporter until his health failed him. Charles Ed was an outstanding citizen and was known for his honest and fair dealings. Obituaries of Green Co.
