She is the daughter of Mrs. Mary [Graham] Milby and the late Bolden Milby. The bullet from a .22 rifle which was accidentally discharged while in the hands of Paul Elliot Graham, son of Lively Graham, penetrated her head, killing her instantly. A verdict of death by accidental rifle shot was returned by a coroner's jury shortly after the accident. Florence and the Graham boy with some others had returned from the tobacco field where they had helped cut tobacco. The Graham boy was shooting at objects in the air when his rifle failed to go off. It is reported the gun accidentally discharged shooting the girl through the head. The Young girl was born July 24, 1934 and would have been a student at the Greensburg High School this year. She professed faith in Christ, six months ago. Her sudden death was a shock to the ! community. She is survived by her mother, three brothers, Rollin and William of Green County, and Arnett Milby of Louisville, and two sisters, Mrs. Aline Simpson, Donansburg, and Mrs. Evelyn Shaffer, Columbia, South Carolina. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Nazarene Church in Summersville by Reverend Root, Reverend Ben Henderson, and Reverend J. A. Humble, and burial was in the Wilson cemetery. Pallbearers were Floyd Milby, E.J. Milby, Woodrow Lobb, Albert Henderson, George R. Howard, and Howard Skaggs. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
