She was 87 years, 10 months and 24 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. C.E. "Horton" Davenport on December 30,1928, and he preceded her in death April 10, 1994. To this union were born four daughters and three sons. Surviving are: Ollye Clark and Carlos Davenport, both of Louisville; Hazel Cross, Gayle Holland and Randy Davenport, all of Greensburg, and Genevieve Buckner, Hodgenville. William Thomas Davenport preceded his mother in death. Mrs. Davenport is also survived by two brothers: Clayton Moran, Greensburg, and Clarence Moran, Illinois, and one sister, Ethel Pierce, Louisville; 10 grandchildren,! 12 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Lewis Moran, Gather Moran, Edward Moran, Finis Moran, Ollye Beatrice Moran and Ida Mae Moran. The funeral for Mrs. Leora Frances Moran Davenport was conducted Sunday, June 14, 1998, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Davenport Cemetery. Rev. Robert Morris, Rev. Phil Martin and Rev. William Davenport officiated. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Green County Library. Active pallbearers were Ollye Clark, Hazel Cross, Carlos Davenport, Genevieve Buckner, Gayle Holland, Randy Davenport, David Clark, Jim Armitage, Roberta Davenport, Michael Holland, Billy Holland and Karen Davenport. Honorary pallbearers were the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky.
