Groover, age 53, husband of Edith Curry Groover, died at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Ga. Friday, February 18, 1972. He had been a patient there for three months. Beside his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Miss Julia Groover, a teacher at Albany, Ga. and Miss Lisa Clay Groover, Valdosta, Ga. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 20 at McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, with burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Patterson, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Montgomery and Mr. and Mrs. Billy W. Patterson, Greensburg, Ky., Dr. and Mrs. Tom Badgett and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Pierce, Georgetown, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pierce, Frankfort, Ky. Mrs. Groover is a daughter of Mrs. Claris [Patterson] Curry of Valdosta, Ga., formerly of Greensburg, and the late [Sylvester] Clay Curry. Obituaries of Green Co.
