She was 62 years, four months and three days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Kenneth Murphy April 17, 1938, who survives. To this union were born two sons and two daughters: Ray Murphy, Buffalo; Mrs. Juanita Wright, Summersville, Mrs. Janice Smith, New Albany, Indiana; and Nelson Murphy, Magnolia. Mrs. Murphy is also survived by one brother: Curt Dobson, Summersville; and four sisters: Mrs. Ruby Warren, Knifley; Mrs. Margaret Hudgins and Mrs. Jean Roberts, both of Louisville and Mrs. Annie Warren, Illinois; and eight grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and P! arrott Funeral Home until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 1979 at the Aetna Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. She was born in Green County May 6, 1898, the daughter of the late Benjamin Lewis and Josephine Foster DeSpain. She lived in the county for the first 16 years of her life. She was a housewife and a lay minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of the late Richard Munday. Four daughters and three sons survive: Mrs. Marcus Faulkner, Mrs. Zora A. Tharpe, and Joseph R. Munday, all of Louisville; Mrs. Margaret Robertson, Indianapolis, Indiana; Mrs. Mary Chelf, Magnolia; William L. Munday, Crofton; and Eugene W. Munday, Parker City, Indiana. She is also survived by three brothers, and two sisters: Jodie DeSpain, Charlie DeSpain, and Mrs. Cornelia Milby, all of Greensburg; Finis DeSpain, Maysville; and Mrs. Gracie Towne, San Antonio, Texas. Three brothers! , Abner, Ivo, and Raymond, preceded her in death. Seventeen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral for Mrs. Munday was Wednesday, August 20, 1980, at 3 p.m. at Foster-Jones Funeral Home, the Rev. Omar T. Powell officiating, assisted by the Rev. Melvin Orr. He was the son of the late Will Ed Lobb and Mrs. Ermine Graham. He was a minister in the Church of the Nazarene for 37 years. His ministry included Sparksville, Wurtland, Ravenna, Corbin and Erlanger, Ky. His last pastorate before retirement was Dayton, Ohio. He united in marriage to Miss Delia Lobb December 12, 1923, who survives. To this union were born two daughters: Mrs. Delores Murray, Jacksonville, Florida; Mrs. Wilma Heaberlin, Nashville, Tenn.; Montey Lobb, Cincinnati, Ohio. The accident occurred at 4:30 p. m. while the victim was swimming with four other boys near Sidebottom Ford, fourteen miles below Greensburg. William Davenport and Billy Bonnie were first into the stream, followed by the Lobb youth and Billy Dangerfield. Udell Dangerfield, Billy's brother stayed on the bank. The water was swift and about two feet above the normal level. Billy yelled for help and had gone under the second time before William brought him to safety. William said he heard no yell from Elwood. The muddy water prevented him from finding the victim when he returned to the spot. Local volunteers and divers from Glasgow, Campbellsville, and rescue units from Fort Knox searched the swollen river throughout the afternoon and night. The victim was found 300 yards below the scene of the accident at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning. Elwood was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel H. Lobb of Route 3 Greensburg. He would have been ! a senior at Greensburg High School this year and was President of the Future Farmers of America. He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is survived by three brothers: Twyman, Dennis and Jimmy Lobb all of Greensburg: 2 sisters, Mrs. Clayton Garrison and Sharon Sue Lobb, both of Greensburg. grandparents, Mrs. Emily Wright and Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Lobb, all of Greensburg. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 23 at the New Salem Baptist Church with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Rev. Landon Hadley directed the services. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Church of Christ at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Minnie Irene Biggs, July 31, 1919, who survives. To this union were born two sons and four daughters. Surviving are: Adrian Lobb, Greensburg; Luried Lobb, Campbellsville; Mrs. Goldie Compton, Frankton, Indiana; Mrs. Sylvia Eubank, Danville, Ky. and Mrs. Helen Whitlock, Greensburg. A daughter, Lora Lobb, preceded her father in death in 1929. Mr. Lobb is also survived by 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A former Marion County resident, Mr. Lobb began working with the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Department as a conservation officer in Marion County, serving here from November 1949 to February 1962. He was then transferred to Western Kentucky as maintenance supervisor of Camp J. W. Currie and served there until his retirement in January, 1970. He is survived by his wife, Velma Daniel Lobb; a son, Lendal M. Lobb, Manito, IL.; two daughters, Mrs. Eldon Mattingly of Lexington and Mrs. Ronald Gates, Breckinridge, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Smith, Hodgenville; a brother, Leslie Lobb of Hodgenville, and seven grandchildren. Survivors are two sons, Chester and Grady Lobb, both of Louisville; four daughters, Mrs. Bessie Davenport, Mrs. Gladys Compton and Mrs. Maude Hooten, all of Louisville; and Mrs. Pernia Davenport of Donansburg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. (fast time). Friday, July 19, (today), at the Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the Macedonia Cemetery. Rev. Elvis Marcum and Carlos Compton will officiate.
