Purtscher, Peoria, Illinois, died at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday, September 17,1996, at his residence. He was born November 18, 1910, in Hart County to Willie T. and Effie Druen Osborne. He married Delora Gail Howard on November 9, 1940, in Peoria, Illinois. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Terry (Vivian) Jacobs of Royal Oak, Michigan, and Mrs. Ron (Carol) Dodson of Morton, Illinois; also one sister, Mrs. Merlin (Doyne) Goodrich of Roodhouse, Illinois; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was a machine operator at Caterpillar for 38 years, until 1972. He then worked at PA Bergners as a customer service van driver for eight years until he retired. These employments were both in Peoria, Illinois. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2 in Peoria, Illinois, and was of the Baptist faith. He and his wife were avid campers ! at Kentuckiana in Mackinaw, Illinois, for many years. Services were held Friday, September 20, at Cumerford-Endsley-Diggle Funeral Home in Peoria, Illinois. Burial was in the Swan Lake Memory Garden in Peoria. She was united in marriage to Greenie Jeffries. He preceded her in death in 1913. To this union one daughter and four sons were born. Surviving are Mrs. Emma McCubbin and John W. Jeffries, both of Pierce. She later was united in marriage to Milton O'Banion. He preceded her in death in 1925. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was 72 years, one month and 27 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mathews Episcopal Church in Laramie, Wyoming, at the time of his death. Mr. Perkins was a member of the Lebanon #3 Royal Arch Chapter, in Laramie, Wyoming, and was past master in 1968-1969; a member of the Laramie York Rite and Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He was a former accountant with Martin Container in California. He was also a warrant officer with the National Guard in Laramie, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by Jackie Lee Lenihan on January 18, 1997. He was als! o survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Perkins. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m. (CDT) at the Fry Baptist Church with Masonic rites. Rev. Firemen from Corbin were called to aid in the rescue. Both the body and the boat were recovered in about 40 feet of water, but efforts to revive McFall failed. He was employed at Less Ford dock on the lake and was accompanied by two men and a boy. Nearby boatmen rescued the three, but McFall's body never came to the surface. Obituaries of Green Co. Ky. W. Mitchell, 66, who died Wednesday, night, December 21 at her home in Louisville at 1299 Willow Avenue. She was a native of Owenton, Ky. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell made their home in Greensburg for about a year, and moved back to Louisville the first of the year. At press time funeral arrangements were not learned. Obituaries of Green Co.
