Smith on December 5, 1953, in Greensburg. He departed this life October 10, 1999, at his home in Louisville. He professed faith in Christ at 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg at an early age. His humble heart touched everyone. A stranger he never met, his creativity truly a gift from God. Freddie joined the military in 1976 where he served his country well. Preceding him in death were his mother, Roise Lee Williams, and his grandfather, Eugene Groves. Survivors include one daughter, Christy Smith; one granddaughter, Ahlyia Carvy, and a very special friend, Mary Ruth Smith; three sisters: Car Shipp, Louisville, Julia Herd, Oklahoma, and Parlene Foster, Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers: Kim A. Smith, Atlanta, Georgia, James Kenneth Smith, California, and Ralph C. Smith, Florida; grandmother, Mrs. Winnefred Groves, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 14, at the Wa! rren F. Toler Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Top Cemetery. Rev. Mike A officiated over the service. Sullivan, son of the late Mr. James Frank Sullivan and Mrs. Delia Mills Sullivan, was born February 12, 1929, in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 1998, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was 69 years, five months and nine days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Friendship Separate Baptist Church in Louisville. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, where he served in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Wisdom on June 23, 1951, who survives. To this union was born one son, M. Scott Sullivan, of Greensburg. He is also survived by his grandson, Clifton Wade Sullivan, of Greensburg; one sister and three brothers, Francis Blaydes of Indiana, Jerry Sullivan of Greensburg, Jackie Sullivan of Edmonton and Bobby Sullivan of Glasgow, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Sullivan, Dennis Sullivan and Be! nnie Sullivan. The funeral services for Shively D. Sullivan were conducted Friday, July 24, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Rev. Joseph Wilcoxson officiated. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Central Kentucky. Pallbearers were Sammy Jagger, Mike Bibb, Brian Landis, Henry Smith, Gary Davis, James L. Strader, age 63, of Maple Avenue, Greensburg, died Saturday, May 8, 1999, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital after an illness. He was the son of the late Gather Strader and Pauline Strader of Greensburg, who survives her son. He was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church and a retired Methodist minister, having pastored churches in the area for over 30 years and a retired employee of the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Deloris Ruth Strader. He is survived by his wife, Ann Thompson Strader; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Patti Strader and Ricky and Vicki Strader, all of Campbellsville. Three grandchildren, Haley, Krystal and Jordan Strader also survive along with several other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services for Reverend W.D. Strader were held Monday, May 10, at the Greensburg United Methodist Church with burial in the Campbellsville Memoria! l Gardens. Officiants were Rev. Dale Curry, Rev. Gleason Bloyd, Rev, Travis Keltner, Rev. Russell Janes, Judy Shuffett and Rev. George P. Lee III.
