I have come to the realization that the only definitive proof we may every find as to how James O. fits into the Whitlow line is through DNA. Mary, I'm looking to see if I can find anything on John Greer Judd. I have he was born in Green Co., KY. but found some of the census records say he was born in TN. Have you proven one way or the other that he was born in TN? Since he is the last child and I have all the rest born in NC, maybe his parents moved to TN for awhile, before moving to KY. I would put my money on Ratliff Thompson as the father of Moses, Israel, Jonathan and William Reeves Thompson. I show his wife as Catherine Compton/Cumpton. They married about 1797 in Green Co., KY. I have daughters Elizabeth and Molly and a son, Moses, born 10 May 1800 attributed to them. I believe the birth date is from the Archibald Thompson diary. William Reeves Thompson is my gggrandfather. Moses and Isreal were born in 1804. William was born in 1805. Johnathan was born in 1821. I don't know whether they all moved to Missouri at the same time, but William married Martha Moman Morrison in Gasconade County, Missouri, on September 08, 1836. Moses married Elizabeth Livingston in Greensburg, Green County, Kentucky on April 10, 1826. Isreal married Mary Ann Druin in Gasconade County, November 21, 1829(?). William died August 23, 1877; Martha died June 12, 1900. They are buried in Grove Dale Cemetery in Maries County, Missouri. Moses died in 1860 in Gasconade County. Isreal died on March 8, 1873, in Maries County. All I know of their parents I found in familysearch.org. Their father is only referred to as Thompson. Their mother is referred to as Mrs. Thompson. Her birthdate was given as about 1792 and the marriage date was give! n as 1803. I hope this might help you. I couldn't get any where with it! He had three brothers Moses Thompson born in 1804, Isreal Thompson born in 1804, and Johnathan Thompson born in 1821. All four brothers moved to Missouri and settled in Osage County or Gasconade County. William married Martha (Moman) (Morrison) on 08 September, 1836, in Gasconade County, Missouri. They had seven children, six boys and one girl. William and Martha are buried in Grove Dale Cemetery, Maries County, Missouri. My brick wall is that I've been unable to find the parents of William Reeves, Moses, Isreal, and Johnathan Thompson. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. One other point, their mother was listed in familysearch.org as Mrs. Thompson b. about 1792 and married their father in 1803. I have checked Green County, Kentucky, filmed records with no results.
