She was born January 16, 1924, to the late Horace Robert (Buck) and Icy Pearl Thornton in Green County. She was 74 years, three months, two weeks and seven days of age. She professed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Jacob Grove Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She is survived by three sisters: Margie Mitchell, Mary Miller, of Greensburg, and Nora Thornton of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, James (Mann) Thornton of Greensburg; three aunts and one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her father, mother and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Monday, May 11, at the Jacob Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Green County Memory Gardens. Rev. Walter Johnson officiated over the service with music provided by the church choir. Pallbearers were Tyrone Miller, Greg Thornton, Reginal Miller, Donnie William! s, Junior Barnett and Billy Mitchell. Flower girls were Bridgett Miller, Pam Miller, Elmira Thornton, Tracy Thornton, Candace Thornton, Precilla Thornton and Kay Calhoun. The Warren F. He was 82 years, eight months and 17 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He united in marriage to Miss Lillie Rose Martin on July 2, 1939, who survives. To this union were born two sons and three daughters: Delbert Underwood, Shelby Underwood and Mary Ella Underwood, all of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by Emma Price on March 21, 1982, and Delores Underwood in 1953. He is also survived by two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law: Marsha Underwood, Christine Underwood and Curtis Price, all of Greensburg; one granddaughter: Martha Lou Price of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Marshall Underwood, Lilburn Underwood; one sister: Lillie! Bennett; and two grandsons: Roger Dale Price and Curtis Alvin Price, Jr. The funeral services for Mr. Edwin Underwood were conducted Saturday, August 1, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Green County Memory Gardens. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. P. P. Tudor, he had been in failing health for several weeks. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Beasley of Louisville; Lillian Tudor of California; and Mrs. Thelma Sowers; three sons, Chandler, Welby and Jimmy of Louisville. There are five sisters, Mrs. Hardin Renick, Hardyville; Mrs. Alma Lockett, Park; Mrs. Lucy T. Ball, Chattanooga, Term.; Mrs. J. L. Steele and Mrs. Irene Caasady, both of Knob Lick; and one brother, Leslie Tudor, Sheldon, IL. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, at 1:00 o'clock at Big Meadow church and burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. V. A. Jones officiated, with Rev. Ed Slinker assisting. Thompson who was a well known in this area as a stock dealer, He was first married to Miss Lillie Belle Morgan who died in 1911, A daughter, Mrs. Ollie Jones, Chicago, Ill. survives of this union. Tuesday at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home for Lewis H. Thompson who died at 11:10 p. m. Sunday, February 28 at his home at Pierce, Ky. at the age of 71 years. Rev. V. A. Jones, assisted by Rev. Manley Towles were in charge of the services. Burial was in the Thompson Cemetery. Members of Greensburg Lodge 54 F. & A. M. officiated at the service. The son of the late Richard Thompson and Mrs. Sarah Wisdom Thompson, he was born in Green County, March 28, 1882. He professed faith in Christ early in life. He was united in marriage to Miss Monia Davis on December 23, 1909. To this union two daughters were born. Besides his wife he 15 survived by Mrs. Margaret Houk, Cave City, Mrs. Sylvia Pierce, Lexington; also one sister, Mrs. Monia Myers, Center; two grandchildren.
