I am certain that Hiram Johnson is a son of Asa Johnson Sr., whose wife is probably a daughter of Hugh Warren Sr. Hiram Johnson and Margaret Nichols, as best as I can tell, only had three children, they were: 1. Avery - born about 1814, married Mariah Hays in 1830 (he was only 16) - they had three children, two of whom were Ellender and John. Avery died young and apparently his widow did too. Ellender and John are shown in the 1850 census living with their grandparents, Hiram and Margaret. 2. Dennis Johnson, born about 1815, married Sarah ??. 1850 Census Hendricks Co., Indiana, 1860 Census Hancock Co., Indiana - by 1870 he was in Federal Prison at Jeffersonville, Clark Co., Indiana but his wife, Sarah, is shown in Hancock Co., Indiana. 3. Dicey Johnson, born about 1817, married George Washington Pierce. Here follows the will of Rev. Hiram Johnson: Green Co., Kentucky Will Book 3, Page 267 In the name of GOD, Amen, I, Hyram Johnson, of Green County, Kentucky being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bess me with I give and bequeath the same in manner following that is to say: I give to my son, Avery Johnson's, heirs one dollar and to Dennis Johnson, my second son, one dollar. To George Pierce, my son-in-law, all of the balance of my estate both personal and real of what nature or kind so ever it may not be herein mentioned provided that he the said George Pierce see that my wife, Margaret Johnson, is decently supported during her natural life. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this July 3rd day 1861. s/ Hiram (X) Johnson, seal Acknowledged by Hiram Johnson as his last will and testament in the presence of John Bloyd & J. R. Hazlewood. At a county court held for Green County on the 19th day of August 1861 this writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Hiram Johnson, dec'd, was produced into court by George Pierce and the same was proven by the oaths of John Bloyd and J. R. Hazelwood that the said Hiram Johnson made his mark to the said instrument of writing in their presence and acknowledged the said writing at the same time to be his last will and testament and they at the same time signed their names as witnesses to said writing. At the time of acknowledging the same they believed him to be of sound mind and disposing memory and the same was ordered to be recorded as the last will and testament of said Hiram Johnson, dec'd, which is truly done in my office. Given under my hand this 16th day of July 1862. Robert Marshall, Clk. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The Green County Cemetery books have the location as "located on the farm of E. C. Bloyd in the Brush Creek Church Community." I also have seen reference to it being the family cemetery of Charles Curtis Morris, murdered 16 June 1884.
