He was 85 years, nine months and two days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at the time of his death. Mr. Bloyd was a retired truck driver and farmer. He united in marriage to Miss Gladys Marcum September 4, 1935, who survives. To this union was born one son: Milton Creed Bloyd, Summersville. Mr. Bloyd is also survived by three grandchildren: Sherry Bloyd, Gayle Edmonds and Billy Bloyd, all of Summersville; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral for Mr. Eddie Bloyd was conducted Monday, July 19, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Leslie Jewell offi! ciated. Pallbearers were Billy, Bloyd, Ricky Edmonds, Bonnie Shofner, David Dobson, Kenny Brown, Stanley Brown and Allen McCubbins. Obituaries of Green Co. He united in marriage to Miss Minnie V. Price July 5, 1921, who preceded him in death January 7, 1972. To this union were born two sons. Surviving is Delbert Jay Bloyd, Dayton, Ohio. Vernard Reed Bloyd preceded his father in death. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. T.B. Noe December 23, 1900 and he preceded her in death June 1, 1953. To this union were born five sons and one daughter: Arthur, William, Cleo, Buford, Charles Noe and Mrs. Edna Altman all of Greensburg. Mrs. Noe is also survived by one brother: John Bale, Summersville; two half-brothers: Moss Bale, Summersville and Bronston Bale, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Sunday, May 19 at the Summersville Baptist Church with burial in the Bennett Cemetery. Revs. Noble Cottrell, Coy Kidd, Thurman Eaton and Joseph C. Rattliff officiated. Cowhe! rd and Parrott Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were: Jerry, Barry and Jackie Noe, V.T., Walton, Ray and Robbie Altman, Randall and J.V. Noe. He was born in Green County, March 24, 1898, the son of the late James Hardy Woodward and Lillie DeSpain Woodward. He lived in the county all of his life and attended Greensburg Schools. He had served as clerk of the Selective Service Board, ticket marker for the local tobacco market, and for many years was bookkeeper for the Goff-Cantrell and the Theiss Chevrolet. He was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lillian Woodward Patterson, Greensburg; a brother, Dr. Theodore Woodward, Lewisburg, West Virginia; a nephew, Bill Patterson, Greensburg; and two nieces, Mrs. Mary Margaret Laughlin, Memphis, Tennessee and Mrs. Judy Banks, Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday morning, April 11 at Foster-Jones Funeral Home. The Rev. James! E. Evans officiating. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery. Whitlow, who had lived in Louisville for the past 20 years, was the only passenger in a 1964 Pontiac driven by Louis Austin Bloyd, 34, Mt. Sherman. According to a state police report the driver lost control of the car, it left the road and struck a tree. Bloyd was admitted to Hardin Memorial Hospital. Survivors are: one son, Orvil Whitlow of Louisville; 2 grandchildren, 3 brothers; Joe Whitlow, Summersville; Eddie Whitlow, Elizabethtown, Carl Whitlow of Greensburg; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Bradshaw of Magnolia. The remains were at the Foster-Jones Funeral Home with services at Resthaven which were held at 1:00 p.m. March 8, 1975. Rev. Gene Weddle officiated.
