Mr. Blair had held pastorates at Greensburg, Albany, Grider, Edmonton. He was a member of the Burkesville Masonic Lodge. Among his survivors are two sons, Homer T. Blair of Mississippi, Roy Blair, Lewisburg, and three daughters, Mrs. Spencer Burchett and Mrs. Johnny Garner, New Castle, Ind., and Mrs. Charles Thrasher, Albany, Ky. Rev. J.V. Case as in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. Manley Towles. Burial was in the Warf Cem. at Newt. The daughter the late Washington Pierce and Mrs. Alice Houk Pierce, she was born in Green County, March 20, 1900. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with Greasy Creek Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Greensburg Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death. She was united in marriage to Noah D. Blakeman on November 26, 1919. He preceded her in death March 14, 1948. To this union one daughter and two sons were born, all of whom survive: Mrs. Richard Shuffett, Bernard W. Blakeman, and James L. Blakeman, all of Greensburg; also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Henry Curry, Exie, and Mrs. Ro! bert Neagle, Greensburg; three brothers, Alpheus Pierce, Louisville; Phares Pierce, Greensburg; Leonard Pierce, Somerset, and two grandchildren. White who died January 10th at his home there. He was in his 70's. Burial was in Cave Hill Cemetery. He was a former newspaper man. About 25 years ago he was publisher of the Taylor County Star at Campbellsville. Several years later he published a newspaper at Columbia known as the Columbia Times. Mr. White was well known through this section of Kentucky, and at one time wrote a column "Kentucky Homespun," which appeared in several weeklies in the State. He had been ill for the past four years. Prior to that he served as proofreader on The Louisville Times. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Coffey White, a son, Kenneth R. White. Cook, died Saturday, February 23, at the age of 1 month and 8 days. The baby twins were born Jan. 15, 1952. Both children became ill, and were on the way to the hospital when the child died. The other twin, Georgia Dale was brought home from the hospital Thursday. Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home at 10:00 a. m. Monday and burial was in the Hancock cemetery. Services were in charge of Rev. V. A. Jones, assisted by Dr. B.B. Hilbun. Arizona, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at his home. Mr. Brandon was born November 6,1935, in Galveston, Texas. Tom's family moved to Exie, Kentucky, in 1945, where he met and married his wife of 45 years, Betty Jo Curry. To this union were born two children and four grandchildren. Tom graduated from Greensburg High School in 1951 and served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force, he returned to government service in 1965 and retired after 23 years as a branch chief at the Fort Knox Armor School. After his retirement Tom was employed by Kato Express in Elizabeth, Kentucky, for seven years prior to moving to Arizona in October, 1995. For the past two and a half years Tom worked for Sierra Cycles and The San Pedro News Sun. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Nunn; his father, Allen Brandon; step-father, Loyd L. Nunn; and a sister, Patricia (Nunn) Brown. Tom is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Greg Brandon of Tucson, Susan ! and Brian Brown of Sierra Vista; Barry Levitt of Sierra Vista and Janice Brandon of Tucson; grandchildren, David Brandon Levitt of Sierra Vista, Mandy and Ryan Brandon of Tucson ami Kaitlyn Brown of Sierra Vista; sister. He farmed in the LeRoy and Bloomington areas. He and his wife left farming in 1958 and bought a grocery store in Towanda, which they operated for four years. They moved to Lexington in 1962 and to Bloomington in 1990. Mr. Beard had also worked as a janitor for Admiral Corporation, retiring in 1973.
