Daughter of the late J. S. and Lou Ann Glass, she was born March 15, 1879. She was married December 27, 1898, to James Thomas Ball who died several years ago. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Herman Polson, Knob Lick; Mrs. Ray Bacon, Lecta; and Urey Woodson Ball, at home; four grandchildren, Mrs. Maxine Robertson; Marie, Junior, and Ralph Polson; six great grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. Roy Smith, Mrs. O. P. Glass, Mrs. Boyd Reeder; three brothers, Clarence, Roy and Rondal Glass. Funeral services were held Friday at 1 o'clock at Cross Roads Presbyterian church, Wisdom, of which she was a faithful member. Rev. J. J. Ogden and Rev. V. A. Jones officiated. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. Monday, March 12 at the Greensburg Presbyterian church with Rev. W. R. Read in charge, assisted by Rev. V. A. Jones. Burial was in Greensburg cemetery. Services were in charge of Rev. Chester Deacon. Burial was in the Buffalo Cemetery. The son of the late John Elliott Bale and Mrs. Susan Close Bale, he was born in Green County, September 22, 1884. He professed faith in Christ some 35 years ago and was a member of the Taylors Chapel Methodist Church of which he served as Trustee for many years. He united in marriage to Miss Lula Scott of Green County, January 16, 1911, and to this union one son was born, Mr. Ivo Bale of Mac, Green County. Besides his wife and son, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. L. M. Dobson, Hodgenville, Mrs. Frank Scott, Hudgins, Mrs. W.T. Puckett, Magnolia; one brother, Mr. Dick Bale, Hodgenville. State St., died Fri evening 6 May at Meline Nursing Center at the age of 61. Dr. Beams was born at Greensburg, Ky., 22 Sep 1921, a son of Emmett and Rebecca Coleman Crockett Beams. He is survived by a son Jerry K. Beams, R.R., 1, Jacksonville; 2 daughters: Mrs. Larry D. (Diane V.) Griffin, Jacksonville and Mrs. George V. (Connie R.) Reavy, Jacksonville; 7 grandchildren: Julie, Clint and Jarod Beams, Jason Corey Griffin and Bridget and Robert Reavy. Active in his field of work, he contributed much of his life! to the care of the aged and those suffering from illness. He was an US Army veteran of WWII and held the rank of staff sergeant. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, UCT, Fraternal order of Police, Central Illinois Chiropractors Society, formerly an active member of the Zingabad Grotto and was one of the founders of the Jacksonville Antique Car Club in the mid 1950's. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Tues at the Reavy Funeral Home with interment at Pinetree Cem., Patterson. Visitation will be after 11:00 am Mon with the family receiving friends from 2-4 and 7-8 pm Mon at the funeral home. Memorials contributions may be given to the Mayo Cancer Research Fund.
