I had asked the Grayson County Historical Society about the cemetery and was told that there was no record of it in the cemeteries books. I didn't want the information to be lost to future researchers. I am not a Downs descendant, but I have researched the Downs name in Daviess, Edmonson, Grayson and Ohio Counties. I vould be Very interested in sharing and verifying what I have developed over the years on the Downs name in Grayson County. I have all Downs census records in Grayson County beginning in 1810 (Richard and Rachel) until 1880. My Family Group Sheet for Aaron and Elizabeth show them with three children born between 1825-1830. I think the probable children were: Thomas (b. prob ca 1825) m. Nancy Etherton on 15 Jun 1847 in Edmonson County, Sarah (b. prob ca 1827) m. William R. McGrew; and William (b. 8 Feb 1829) m. Malitta (Matilda in one reord) Vanmeter on 25 Nov 1851 in Edmonson County. Elizabeth (Stutiville?) Downs was in the 1850 Census of Edmonson County - HH #288 - with children: William, 21; Nancy, 18; Irvin, 15; Isham, 13; Charles, 10; John, 08; and Martin, 04.
