I have her dob as 18 Feb 1850 (sources are 1900 census and the McClure Journal) and the 1900 census says she was born in KY, but VA sounds more correct as it reflects her name. Hi, Charles, What a lot of wonderful information to work with. I do have a few facts I can add, but I will have to put this data in my Family Tree Maker and do some comparisons with what I have and what you sent. Grayson County Birth records show the twins as Etta and Joe. Maybe poppa and mamma couldn't make up their mind whether the son was going to be Todd or Joseph. Looks like the one backing Todd became the winner. Etta died on 12 Sep 1875 - four days after she was born. (McClure Cemetery Vol II, page 138) Marion Bevill is actually Francis Marion Beville. He was married to Eliza Belle Moore, d/o Harrison. They were parents of the four E.E., M.E, Ova and Annie May Beville, who are buried in the McClure Cemetery (Vol II, Page 137.) Email from Bax McClure: "In looking at the book "Millerstown and its People" page 225 through 227 I have found the following: Anthony Augustus McClure b. 8-13-1912 to Benjamin H. McClure b. 2-24-1889 and unknown mother. Benjamin is the son of Theodore McClure b. 11-14-1843 and d. 4-7-1917 and America Beville b. 2-18-1850 and d. 3-14-1931. (America is the daughter of Anan Beville and Fannie Bocock). Theodore is the son of Samuel (Big Sam) McClure b. 1820 and d. 7-8-1888 and Frances Cravens. Also in my files I have a copy of Theordore's death certificate and a copy of America's obituary (The Leitchfield Gazette, March 20, 1931). In her obituary it mentions Ben McClure as having preceded her in death and it mentions Mrs. Peddicord at the end of the obituary which is who I found your father living with in Logan County Illinois in the 1930 Census. Also in the book Kentucky Genealogy and Biography, Volume 1 by Battle, Perrin & Kniiffin in 1885 and reprinted in 1969 and edited by Thomas W. Westerfield, there is a biography of Thomas Beville who was America's brother (she is mentioned in the bio.). If you are interested in copies of some of this material let me know." "Uncle Mack as he was familiarly known, had been in failing health for several years and his death was not unexpected. Funeral services were held from St. Josephs Church, Leitchfield Tuesday, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Two children service him: J.J. (James Jediah) McClure, Clarkson, and Mrs. Eugene McCabe (Annie C. McClure), near Leitchfield. His wife, Teresa Edelen McClure died August 17, 1903. Margaret Theresa Edelen was born 16 Nov 1840 and died 17 Aug 1903. They married 1 Apr 1861.
