I am doing my family tree and am a long red light can't find any more info, went to the Virginia Web site and it stated that John Henry Hays(note the different spelling of the last name)Came from Scotland in 1774,settled in Virginia in 1775 an widower, with four sons.But this doesn't hold true to the records I have on John henry Hayse Jr. I have him being born in Virginia in 1765,death in 1859 in Grayson Co ky.Need help.I found an book online about the Hays from scotland to Virginia but my John wasn't in it.
