However, my ggrandfather was Lewis Hackley Carby, son of Thomas J. and Jane Spencer Carby, b. 08 Dec 1857. I have not found a death record yet, but Lewis M. is not found on the 1860 census with the family, so I would presume that he had died, probably before Lewis H. was born.
