I'm a little short of time right now (not done with my Christmas shopping) but after the holidays should be able to do more. Thanks for the burial information. I don't have a Benjamin, Jemima or John Phillips in my files. Is Ben a brother of of Edmund? Regarding Owen Willis, all I have for the death date for him is 1858, Grayson Co., KY. My source for that is a Rootsweb Family Tree titled 'Kerby/Willis Family Tree'. Kenneth N Kerby is the owner of it. I do not know who that is and I have not personally researched this. I have David C. PHIILLIPS' death date as 1854 but, I don't have what I consider a good source. Thanks for the information on Elizabeth (Cleaver) PHILLIPS. I did not have her parents. I have never been sure what a consort is. Does that mean they weren't married? I have a marriage date of 29 Sep 1812, Washington Co., KY for David and Elizabeth. Again, an unreliable source. I have Nancy (Willis) PHILLIPS' death date as 17 Dec 1893, Grayson Co. KY. Same story on the source. Do you have a death date for her? My first PHILLIPS ancestor is my Great-grandmother, Sarah "Mollie" PHILLIPS who married John Anderson GOLLADAY. She was the daughter of Owen W. PHILLIPS and Elizabeth J. WILLIAMS. He was the son of Thomas Benton GOLLADAY and Mary "Polly" NICHOLS. I have in my records that Mary (Nichols) GOLLADAY, d. 1904 in Higdon and is buried in Rock Creek Church Cemetery although I wasn't able to find her marker when I visited the cemetery. Thanks again, Jane Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Hi, Jane, For some reason or another my message went out before it was supposed to and was posted as Old Burned (Burnt) Church instead of your original message. At least it got to you. I'll look forward to hearing from you after the holidays. There is a possibility that the Old Burnt Church Cemetery and the Rock Creek Cemetery are one and the same. I just saw that note as I was going through my family sheets on some of the other Phillips families. I have not posted the information I have on the Phillips families into my Family Tree Maker as yet. I will do that sometime in the next few days. Yes, Edmund and Benjamin E. Phillips were brothers and sons of Benjamin Phillips, Sr. (1757-1831), who died in Washington County, Kentucky. Consort means husband or wife. (It can also mean an associate or a ship accompanying another ship.) In case of burials or Bible records, however, it means husband or wife. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas with your family and a Happy New Year filled with newly-found ancestors.
