Mathis, would be Daniel Mathews/Mathis who married Sarah Wilson on 28 June 1809 in Ohio Co., KY. They show up in the 1810 Kentucky Census: 1810 Kentucky Census - Grayson County (FHL 181,351, pg 239, line 38) Daniel Mathis 1 fwm 16-25, 1 fwf 16-25 He never shows up in the tax records there, although William, George and Hopkins do.
