They moved from South Carolina to Grayson County c. 1810. Their children that I know of were (could be more from early census): 1. John Miller (b. 1807 SC d. 1871)m. to Sarah J. ?? (they had son Caleb Miller m. Adeline Barton) 2. Nancy Miller (b. 1809 KY d. after 1880) married William Galloway. 3. Benjamin P. Miller b. 1812 m. Sarah ?? no other info on him. 4. William Miller (b. 1813 KY d. 1875) m. to Delilah House. 5. Sarena Miller (b. 1816 d. 1889)Married John Bayless Hall, had dau. Nancy Jane Hall b. 1835, they seperated, she moved back with her parents, and went by name of Miller again, with her daughter. As far as I know there was just one child born to them, Nancy Jane who married Thomas Ferry. This info about Serena's moving back home, came from a desc. of Nancy Jane, Katherine Litsey Woosley. I found some divorce info myself to support the family story. This is what I found about the marriage: Found in KY Divorces KY Footsteps 31Oct1999 Vol: 99 Issue 29 Sereny Hall v. John B. Hall Restored to her maiden name Sereny Miller Granted Feb 16, 1841. 1850 Grayson Co. Census: #694, 694 Jacob 64 yrs, Farmer, $1,000.00 value of Real Estate. Born in SC, Wife Milly born SC 66 yrs. Serena Miller 34 born KY, Nancy J. Hall, 15 KY. 1860 Census Caneyville, Grayson Co. KY pg 82 # 537 (Original says Melley instead of Miller for last name, although Nancy J. is listed as Miller and Christopher C relationship unk.) "MELLEY" Milly 78 F Domestic 1,000 100 Born N Carolina X read and write no "MILLY" Sarena 44 Sewing born KY MILLER Nancy J 25 F sewing KY MILLER Christopher C 16 M Farm Laborer KY BROWN Sara age 14 Ky ---------------- I do not know the relationship of the Christopher C. Miller or the Sara Brown age 14 in the census with the family. Her mother Milly McDaniel Miller (born 1781 in SC/NC not sure which) died in 1865, abt. 84 years old. Tombstone says "Serena Miller" Listed in Grayson Co. Cem. book Vol. 1 as d/o Jacob and Milly Miller. Serena Miller cemetery record says 2/14/1816 died 4/11/1889 Her parents Jacob and Milly Miller are also buried at the Miller Cemetery outside Caneyville. Serena's daughter is buried there Nancy Jane Ferry and husband Thomas. I thought I had a Grayson co. land record for Serena but I did not have it in my computer record on her.
