Her sources for all the descendants of Arthur Foreman Jr and Sarah Sally Embry (Cader's parents) are: "Patricia Joan Conkwright, Dundee KY Ohio county Marriage and Census records Butler County Deed Book S, p. 461-463. Sale by Cader Embry heirs, 5-6-1864" I have been working carefully to try to go over all her research also adding my own as I work on an Embry descendancy. I don't have a copy of that deed but it may lead to proof of her name being Johnson (although I can't swear to it, and the listing of proof was not complete). 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mcaldwell141 Surnames: Foreman Johnson Dennis Houston Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.grayson/9769/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Cader W FOREMAN b. 1836, is shown to be married to Polly in the 1860, 1870, and 1880 census. They would have married between 1850 and 1860 because Cader was still with his parents in Grayson Co. in 1850. I believe that Polly's last name was JOHNSON. I have a data sheet my mother created, with Baxter Riley listed as a source, that her name was Sally Pracilla JOHNSON. It lists her father as John Lowrey JOHNSON, and that she had a brother David Lowery JOHNSON. The record shows Sally (or Polly) having died in 1893 and is buried in the FOREMAN Cemetery in Ohio Co. Her brother David was born in Georgia and is buried in Livermore, KY. David had two wives Moonflower (a Creek Indian) and later Emma DENNIS. There are additional notes written on the back of this sheet (source unknown) that Sally's parents were instead Edmond JOHNSON and Lucy HOUSTON, "the youngest sister of Sam Houston of Texas." Other than the fact that Sam HOUSTON did not have a sister Lucy, I have not been able to substantiate or discredit any of the above information with historical records. If anyone has any leads on any of the names listed above, please help me out. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Seriously, I haven't had time to work on anything serious in a few months because I had a heavy load of classes in college. Please check the dates on whatever file you were checking as my working file, I daresay I have not updated online files in a while, so you wouldn't know the details of my working file. As well, I was very specific in my message board reply as to exactly what I had regarding the Foreman/Johnson line, where I got it, and a suggested lead for the individual to take, along with a mention that i had *not* personally done that background checking on the line myself yet. That I had not obtained the deed. For my whole project: Yes, I have a lot more checking to do. When anyone does anything on any magnitude as large as my project there will always be errors and it is my goal to work as hard as possible to not only correct errors in my research but provide enough sources for my information that others can make their own decisions on the links in my family research. I have not ignored you, we have previously communicated. I know not everyone is a direct descendant. I am sorry that you have always had personal issues with the ways I have conducted my research and I wish that when I make a specific comment with specific ideas that you do not flame me publicly on mailing lists and forums. There was nothing in my original post that stated any false facts. It stated what a previous researcher had determined, and the sources she had used as well as my opinion that the deed listed could shed light on one of the links that the individual had inquired. I even stated that I did not have further information, as well as that I was *working* on my project. Working implying not final by any means. You may choose personally that the large amounts of research I have conducted including the large amount of images of original documents and tombstones I have made publicly available to be bunk. You may choose to ignore anything I say and believe only your own ideas. I'm tired of the public flaming, even though it's been a while.
