About 1921 he married Rachel DUVALL (b. 10/4/1896 - d. 12/31/1975) d/o of Sam DUVALL. They had seven children: Maude (10/3/1913) Georgia (7/17/1915) Magdaline (2/11/1921) Ella Rose (1/1/1923) Everett (3/23/1927) Margaret (4/20/1930) Julian (1/3/1934) He is buried in Sanders Cemetery in Leitchfield. The 1930 Census shows the family living in District 6 of Grayson County, Kentucky on Highway 60 (Leitchfield-Brownsville Rd). This states he and his mother were born in Kentucky and his father was born in Indiana. The 1920 Census shows the family living in the North Leitchfield Precinct. This census states that he, his mother and his father were all born in Kentucky. I thought I had found him in the 1910 Census listed only as E.S. West age 19 born in May in Fleming County, Kentucky but this turned out the be an Elmer Stone West. Other than finding his WWI Registration Card I have not been able to find any information earlier than the 1920 Census. Any help in getting past this roadblock would be appreciated. Author: ldrbelties Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.grayson/9860.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Paula, There are several cemeteries in Big Clifty. There's Cedar Hill, the Catholic Cemetery and Petty Cemetery that are located in town, all right beside each other. I've got photos of all of the stones in Cedar Hill Cemetery, although I don't have them all posted. There are several other cemeteries around the area, also, but I don't have those stones photographed. There are no cemeteries by the name of "Big Clifty Cemetery" that I know of. The Grayson Co. Cemtery books have at least most of the cemeteries listed. I can't put my hands on my copies right now as they're packed up, but there are others, I'm sure that will be able to help with a lookup.
