It's funny, I grew up in Kenton County, KY until 1972 when I moved to Boone County, KY, and all my ancestors are in Boone Co., but when you give your surnames, I know many Turners, I had a friend named Mary Lou Steers in Owenton and DeMossville (Owen/Grant Counties and her father's name was Earl), my husband's grandmother who died in 1982 at age 96 was nanny for Stephensons in Boone County near Big Bone, I had a teacher in Kenton Co., named Dave Penick who lives in Boone Co. now, Ashcraft's lived across the street from my home when we first moved into Boone county and now they live in Grant County or Owen County. Seems like I know just about every surname being listed in the Grant Co. list. My company used to have a warehouse here and most of the people who worked there were from Grant Co. so I know Beach's (Beech's), Jump's, Covey's, and many more. The person who is researching Milner's: my best friend has Milner's from Grant Co., and I have been forwarding any emails on this surname to her. She is an O'Neill from Grant Co. and just started this past weekend looking at your messages so if she finds any connection, she'll contact you. I had a Finnell cousin from California tell me that it must be amazing that everywhere I go in Boone County, I must run into cousins, some that I know and others that I may never know. Some of my friends I have discovered are distant relatives that I would never have guessed! My surnames that I am researching: Griffith (Boone Co) Finnell (Boone Co) Jackson (Boone) Carpenter (Boone) Osborne (Grant, Owen, Carroll) Jump (Grant) Lyons (Grant) We're getting a new Library in Boone which is much bigger than the Covington Library and I am hoping that they will increase the information for genealogy to cover the surrounding counties. I will pass this library every day and I hope that it will give me an excuse to get there more often. As it is now, I don't have time to do lookups, but would love to do so. Those of you who are doing the lookups, you are wonderful people! Carol (Griffith) Osborne
