First of all I would like to introduce myself to list. My name is Leslie Butler, son of Claude Ezra Butler who was born in Williamstown, KY in 1912. His parents were Leslie Marion Butler and Zella Mae Scroggins both born in Grant County. Leslie Marion Butler's father and mother was Thomas Nicholas Butler and Minnie Daugherty. Thomas Nicholas Butler was the youngest son of Silvanus Butler and Margaret Ann Fletcher. Silvanus and Margaret Ann lived on Arnolds Creek from 1855 to approximately 1867-69. According to family legend, Silvanus died on the way from Missouri to Kentucky and Thomas Nicholas was born on the same trip. Margaret Ann and her sons returned to Grant county and lived in an around Mt. Zion. Margaret Ann was buried in the Mt. Zion cemetery in 1896. I have substantial details on ancestors of Silvanus and Margaret Ann and some knowledge of their children. But always more questions. Did I rouse anyone's curiosity?
