To Barry, There are several John Johnson of different generations: Abstract County Records by Janet Pease Voume V Grant Co Kentucky Marriages pg 9 Johnson, John and Rosanna Lawrence Bond Date: 11 December 1845 Bondsman Sam'l R.Lawrence The groom is of lawful age Consent of the father of the bride was personally given. Bond Book: 1838-1847 page 159 They were married Dcember 18, 1845 This is possibly his father in Harrison County Harrison County KY Probate Abstracts 1815-1832 Vol I Page 137 Will of John Johnson being weak in body wife: Lydia- the farm that I now live on mentions that he needs to get a deed for that farm (above mentioned) from Fielding B. McDuffee. son: John- the farm he now lives on son: Hugh the farm he now lives on 5 daughters: margaret Jinkins, Mary Miller, Betsy Parman, Jane Johnson and Lucinda Casey my mills are to be sold. son: William Daughter Nancy Key- money which Daved Ogles owes me for my mill in the year in 1830 daughter Sefrona who is now an infant- when she becomes 21 executors: friends David Snodgrass and Benjamine Snodgrass witnessess: Lawson Myers, James Dunlap written 20 October 1827; probated February 1828 Volume B page 352 Harrison County KY minute Book H 1835-1839 Vol IV page 49 Apprenticeship: John Johnson an infant orpahn (no parents are given) is bound to Josiah Whitteeker, farmer until he becomes 21 yrs old.
