I didn't know that anybody else was working on this line. <G> I have a copy of the part of the 1850 census that you need and it says: James Clark, 36, farmer, KY, 1540 acres Sarah, 28, KY William M, 11, KY Mary E., 8, KY Samuel, 6, KY Louisa I., 4, KY Sarah, 3, KY Lucinda E. 1, KY Henry Ackerman, 18, KY,Laborer It also says, surprise, that living next door was: Eli Clark, 38, farmer, KY, 1200 acres Mary E., 34, KY Martha, 12, KY Samuel M., 7, KY William T., 5, KY Sarah F., 4, KY *my GGandma* Allen ,1, KY John, 14, KY I also have a copy of the will of the senior James Clark dated 28 February 1843 (probate May, 1844). It lists his children as Eleanor Ashcraft Ely Clark James Clark Louisa Buskirk and Wm. Clark's children, my grandchildren, John Riffle Clark and Elizabeth Jane Clark. I also have the marriage bond for Ely Clark and Sara Frances Sipple which states that they were married in the home of James Clark (probably the elder) and that one of the ministers was James Clark (not clear which).
