    1. [KYGRANT-L] Williams & Crook
    2. Sandy, Bonnie & Joy I wrote an E-mail yesterday to someone seeking info on the Williams line from Grant Co., but AOL tells me it did not go thru so will try again. I have a little data on the Williams line because my triple great grandfather Jeremiah Crook married Jane Williams in Charles Co., MD in 1782. Shortly after they moved to Grant Co., (Bourbon then, I think), because oldest son John was born there circa 1785. Jane had a brother Bennet who served in the Rev. War with Jeremiah and we think he moved to Grant Co. with the Crook's. I note, Sandy, that you found the marriage of Jesse Crook to Susan Williams in your data - Jesse was my double great. Also Jeremiah's 2nd son Robert married Elizabeth Williams in Pendleton Co. in 1811. A fellow Crook researcher has a lot of references to Williams' in Maryland, because he also had Williams connections in his line. Unfortunately, he passed away last fall and all lhis data is still "tied up" in his computer. I have not pursued the Williams line much because I've been super busy building a Crook family Data Base that now contains over 16,000 individuals. Plus I get constant E-Mails seeking Crook references. I can appreciate how much work it must be for you all to answer so many inquiries. I have over a 1000 references for Crooks but have tried not to stray too far on allied lines. To be in my data base you have to have been born a Crook, married a Crook, or been adopted by a Crook. I correspond with several dozen Crook researchers, but so far I am the only one pursuing the Grant Co., KY line. I have most of the descendants of the Jesse Crook who married Susan Williams, but have only limited info on the other 9 children in Jeremiah's family. He surely left a will in Grant Co., but so far have not been able to locate one. He died in 1834 and his widow Jane moved to Missouri. However, son Robert stayed in Grant Co. and remarried in 1825 to a Nancy Anderson - or was it a son who married Nancy? Anyway, I'm willing to help on the Williams line and access my Crook data base for anyone pursuing that line. I've been trying to get back to Grant Co. for several years, but something always comes up. Millard L. Crook mlcrook777@aol.com 15 Circle Drive Mulvane, KS 67110
