First of all I would like to introduce myself to list. My name is Leslie Butler, son of Claude Ezra Butler who was born in Williamstown, KY in 1912. His parents were Leslie Marion Butler and Zella Mae Scroggins both born in Grant County. Leslie Marion Butler's father and mother was Thomas Nicholas Butler and Minnie Daugherty. Thomas Nicholas Butler was the youngest son of Silvanus Butler and Margaret Ann Fletcher. Silvanus and Margaret Ann lived on Arnolds Creek from 1855 to approximately 1867-69. According to family legend, Silvanus died on the way from Missouri to Kentucky and Thomas Nicholas was born on the same trip. Margaret Ann and her sons returned to Grant county and lived in an around Mt. Zion. Margaret Ann was buried in the Mt. Zion cemetery in 1896. I have substantial details on ancestors of Silvanus and Margaret Ann and some knowledge of their children. But always more questions. Did I rouse anyone's curiosity?
Contact Mildred Balew, R. R. 1, Box 157-AA, DeMossville, Ky 41033. Mildred is a descendant of Martin Draper and can give you a list of his children. I am descended from Sarah A (Sally) Draper (his daughter) who married Lewis Stephens. Lynn Headley
Hey Lynn - me again. Do you have dates for Susanna Wren Landrum's children?
Thanks for the names of the off-line Landrum researchers you sent me a couple of weeks ago. I've been chasing Barringtons and finally got back to this line. I really appreciate your help. Judie who is glad to be in Oregon
Greetings Debby and all...When we last did roll call, Debby wrote <<I have an Mary Elizabeth Draper b. 1816 m. Eli L. Clark her parents were Martin Draper and Susannah Wren Landrum they had 10 children all together.>> OK. I have Eli Clark and Mary Elizabeth Draper down to the present time if anybody wants it. May I have the children of Martin Draper/Susannah Wren Landrum, please? Thanks Judie in a cool and sunny Oregon

Bonnie - please be easy and don't feel pushed. It's not your family's problem nor is it yours. I'll live if we don't get it until doomsday... Judie in still too hot Oregon
Bonnie - if you are around and not too busy, could you find out the names on those six Clark graves? My researcher is working on my Clark stuff beginning Monday and it would help a lot if we could know. This is a guilt free request - if it isn't possible, no worries. Judie in too hot Oregon

What were the Wood names of your relatives and their dates of birth. I have Wood relatives who lived there from 1840s to 1910.
To ?: The Grant Co. Library and/or the Grant Co. Historical Society has a book just out by Hutzelman the is an atlas of Grant Co. in 1858. It gives all of the owners of the land up to 1858. Judie, I have been trying to get that information for what seems like months! I finally got some data from my daughter's father-in-law yesterday and fully expected the grave information to be there, NOT! I will call them tomorrow and beg them to get it, I am at everyone's mercy at this point. I will post it as soon as I get it; I had no idea it would take so long. Take care, Bonnie
KENTON CO HAS A MAP AT THE LIBRAY THAT SHOWS THE RURAL AREA AND INDIVIDUAL FARMS , AND I WAS JUST WONDERING IF GRANT CO. HAS ONE...
Debbie: A further look at the listings show that there are about 30 some odd McClures in this cemetery. I cannot send you all, unless you can give me a snail mail address to send them to. There are also 6 Gibson graves, but none for Wood. Ben JJure@aol.com wrote: > > Hello, > > I'm going to be able to visit Grant Co. this October. Debbie: The cemetery that I think you are seeking is The Old Presbyterian Lebanon Cemetery. It is located 3 miles west of Crittenden on KY highway 491, between Verona and Crittenden. I have a listing of persons buried there if you wish that info. There are approximately 200-210 listings on my list from a survey done in the 1980's. Please be specific as to the individuals.
