    3. You ladies asked for Clark, but I am attaching the rest of Sipple, first, now that I figured out about rich text format. This is from James M. Sipple to the present. Please note that you have one of his wives was Maguire not McQuire. Gotta have respect for my ancestors. <G> Clark to follow... Judie in a warmish but safe Oregon

    3. Bonnie Things look good here in Stuart. The beach area , Hutchinson Island , may have been damaged. But we had hardly anyrain, and winds were not as we expected. Our electric was off and on and cable was off last night. But all in all, we came through just fine. There are reports of trees down , dont really know if actually trees or branches. Everything was closed yesterday and most everyone evacuated either out of town or to a shelter. They closed the islands yesterday. If I hear more, I will keep you informed. barbara

    2. My parents finally called in. They and my aunt had to go as far as Alabama to get a room. The roads to Atalnta were parking lots so they turned west. Even Columbus GA was full but the motel operator called ahead for them until he found them a room. My relief is enormous. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and words of encouragement. Severe winds and rain are expected even through the eye should miss GA. Here in MD, we are are under rain and flood alerts starting tomorrow. We well get little compared to what the KY folk went through in '97. I'll get back to genealogy next week. Pat

    2. Hi Barbara, I don't mean to butt into your conversation but I have several friends that live in Stuart; how are things there? Has anyone been hurt? Has there been much damage? Tanks, Bonnie

    2. Hi Pat, I sure hope you have heard from your parents by now! My niece that attends Charleston University left last night for KY. Still not arrived yet, I guess the traffic is just awful. My other niece is still in Wilmington as far as we know, no one can reach her! They built an under ground hurricane shelter but I sure hope they don't try to stay there. Their home is only a couple of blocks from the beach and I am really afraid of flooding! Bonnie

    3. I'd like to pass on my early morning experience today. I dropped my daughter off early this morning at her high school and gathered around the flag pole out front were about 100-150 students all holding hands and praying. Tears came to my eyes, I was totally unaware that our children were meeting like this and praying. Right in the middle of all the kids was an old friend of mine, on her knees, praying with them. I turned to my daughter and asked her if she knew this was going on and she replied that she prays with them when she gets there early enough. I know that the people affected by the hurricane were in their prayers and we must remember that PRAYER MOVES MOUNTAINS! I can just imagine everyone on that Highway where your parents are will be taking care of each other, until they can return home. This morning I also received an email with an attachment of a message from GOD. I'm not sure that it will go thru the Rootsweb server so if you would like the attachment, please email me and I will send it to you directly. It is very fitting for this situation. And my prayers are with your family. Hope you hear from them soon! 2. Thank You!!! No one has heard from them yet. I have convinced myself that they are in a shelter but that phones aren't available. You can bet their children will give them lessons about telling someone where they are heading for. Pat

    2. Joy, Thanks. They have not contacted any one yet. The highway between Savannah and Atlanta is like a parking lot so maybe that's where they are. But it's been 14 hours and they are 79. I keep telling myself that they are okay but I can't stop worrying. Everyone's support has been marvelous. Pat
