    3. Barbara, this Wallace property, partly on the Garrard side of Paint Lick with cemetery, belonged to Michael Wallace who wrote will on 13 Feb 1808; will was entered into Garrard Co Court at the April 1808 court, so he died between 13 Feb and about 1 Apr 1808. (Another Michael Wallace lived in Madison Co and died around 1804, maybe a nephew of this one.) For a man on his "death bed", he managed to dictate/write a long will - 6 pages in Will Bk C. Legacies to wife Anne (Mansion House and land bounded by small drain... below the house, up said drain through the back lain [lane] by the graveyard... slaves, etc.); son Michael; youngest son Josiah Wallace; son William; daughter Hannah Anderson [my 5GGM]; son John; son Allen; dau Elizabeth Shannon; dau Sarah Duff; son/law James Anderson; to Polly Giles step-daughter of my daughter Mary Giles; grandson Cantly Wallace s/o my son John Wallace. No son "James Wallace" is mentioned. Michael Wallace does state that he has already disposed of part of his estate "amongst my children by way of advancement", so it is possible he had children other than those mentioned. I haven't looked for a "James Wallace" who owned property in Garrard (or Madison) - have you?
