Jane MURPHY would be my Third Great Grand Aunt and you and I are Fifth Cousin. I've hit a brick wall with Jane's father (John MURPHY b. Abt. 1755 (in South Carolina??) d. 1826 Garrard County KY. I have an affadavit that states that John left "South Carolina" in 1779 and helped George and Samuel Scott build/protect Scott's Station. If you have any info, I sure could use some help.
