Judy, thanks for the warmth of your response. My sister, was special to me as she was a my inspiration by her example and life. She cared for all people and raised a sound family of six sons. It was a shock hearing about her ordeal of cancer that was completely unexpected in the way it so quickly took her away from us. She was strong with unfailing faith throughout. Of her three siblings, I am the eldest. she was third in line. Today, I spent a short time with our mother, soon to be 94, and is in the care of a nursing home with early Alzheimers and somewhat tearfully confused by the loss. She is unable to make the almost 200 mile trip. But I will go for the funeral tomorrow with two of my own children. I leave two wonderful people at home besides my mother. My wife and handicapped daughter; they too are special and need my presence, but with hope they will do well for my time gone. One of my sons is in Florida and probably will not make the trip.
